Moustache Mania!

Things got a little hairy at “The Joe” on Saturday night as the ‘Cats attempted to set a new world record for the largest gathering of people wearing false moustaches.

The promotion was in honor of ValleyCats manager, Ed Romero, and his trademark moustache.
Over 3,000 ‘staches were handed out at the gate as fans entered the stadium. Each one included special instructions on the timing and procedure to ensure that the bid was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.
At the end of the 2nd inning, the announcement went out and fans throughout the ballpark applied their faux facial hair. Young and old participated including the ‘Cats players in support of their skipper.
