Welcome to The Future Night at “The Joe”

Welcome to the Future Night was the theme at “The Joe” on Thursday, but based on the team’s performance it may be an apt mantra for Astros fans everywhere.
Andrew Aplin continued his torrid hitting with a first inning homer as he returned to the lineup after a night off. His leadoff blast sparked the offense as they plated 9 runs in the first two innings. Brady Rogers threw 6 solid innings and had more than enough support to earn his third win of the season.
Colt Refining & Recycling was the game sponsor as we highlighted innovations from around Tech Valley and offered a view into the future. In a tribute to the classic movie, Back to the Future, the nightly T-Shirt Toss featured a Doc Brown-style Delorean. Special thanks to Paul Koppel for loaning that out.
Ronald McDonald was also in the ballpark to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities. He accompanied Jillian Ferneau to the mound for one of the game’s Ceremonial First Pitches.
Post-game entertainment featured the Ball Launch followed by fireworks. The ‘Cats take to the road tomorrow as they travel to Vermont for a brief two-game set. They will return on Saturday to kickoff a four game homestand with GE Kids in Free Night at “The Joe.” Join us for what promises to be a fun evening at the park!

attended my first valley cat game that night with my father and son,had a great time. My son received some great autographs and a game used bat, and we had the opportunity to meet with Stubby Clapp who took 15 minutes out of his time (post game) to chat with us as we are also from Canada. Great experience thanks for a great night!

Great to hear!! Thanks for spending your night with us!
