‘Cats Stats and Quick Bits
In an effort to keep everyone updated on our former ‘Cats progress throughout the Astros system, below are links to current stats as of Monday, April 11th.
Quick tidbits:
-Carlos Quevedo (’10) earned his first win of the season with Class-A Lexington on Sunday afternoon. 6 IP, 7 hits, 3 ER, 0 BB, 3 K.
-Alex Sogard (’10) earned his first professional save in relief of Quevedo. Sogard pitched 3-innings giving up two hits allowing 1 ER. He struck out 2 and walked none.
-Mike Kvasnicka (’10) is on fire for Lexington, going 8 for 17 with a triple, double and 6 RBI in his 4-game stretch to start the season.
-Bobby Doran (’10) gets his first start of the season tonight for the Lancaster Jethawks.
-Hunter Pence (’04) is off to a strong start in 2011, leading the “offense” for the 2-7 Astros. Pence is hitting .324 with 3 2B, 1 HR and 5 RBI.
-Ben Zobrist (’04) on the other hand, is struggling so far this season. Through 9 games Zobrist is 5 for 34 with 3 extra base hits, including 1 HR. He’s struck out 10 times.

On a side note, 2010 ‘Cat Oscar Figueroa is no longer with the Houston organization.
