This past Wednesday marked the 106th birthday of Dr. Seuss, the pioneer of modern children’s literature. His birthday his celebrated through Read Across America, a national initiative that calls for every child to celebrate reading. Schools across the country participate in this program by bringing in guest readers to read to the children. SouthPaw and the ValleyCats were the guests at Carroll Hill Elementary School in Troy.
