Time to start thinking baseball!

On Saturday, February 12th, I attended open
registration for Saratoga American Little League at Walton’s Sports Store in Saratoga Springs. With
the Super Bowl over, the weather starting to turn slightly warmer and pitchers & catchers reporting to spring training, what better time
to start talking baseball?

Open registration ran from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. If you missed sign-ups, you can still register your
child online. Just go to the leagues website at http://www.saratogalittleleague.org/.
Registration for the 2011 season will conclude on March 18th, and
tryouts for minor and major league divisions will be held on March 19th
at the Saratoga High School gym.

Along with sign-ups for the league, parents were able to register their children for a special three day baseball camp to be hosted by the New York-Penn League Champion Tri-City ValleyCats in Saratoga this summer. Children who register for this three day camp will receive professional instruction from ValleyCats players, a FREE limited edition ValleyCats souvenir hat and 4 tickets to the July 31st ValleyCats home game at “The Joe.”
