Championship Chili
The third annual Chili Challenge, a benefit for the Kidney Foundation of Northeastern New York and the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York, took place last night at the Holiday Inn Express in Latham. Over 20 vendors cooked up their favorite chili’s to be judged by attendees and a panel of celebrity and guest judges including our very own Assistant GM Matt Callahan. Other guest judges included John D’ Adamo from The Desmond Hotel, Ken Durham of Raymour & Flanigan, Ashe Reardon from CBS6, Heather Morrison from YNN, Nicole Lally from WTEN, Dan Bazile of WNYT and Steve Teeling from FOX23.
Each cup of chili was judged on five criteria; Color, Aroma, Consistency, Taste and Aftertaste.
Pie in the Sky from Central Avenue in Albany was serving up “Snake Bite Tequila Chili”, which includes Python meat:
